MSOA gears up for 3rd NE Olympic Games in Nagaland

Shillong, Feb 23: The Meghalaya State Olympic Association (MSOA) convened on February 23, 2024, in the Conference Hall to strategize and prepare for the upcoming 3rd North East Olympic Games (NEOG) 2024, scheduled to take place in Nagaland.
Chaired by John F Kharshiing, the Working President of MSOA, the meeting saw the presence of Bah Finely L Pariat, General Secretary of the Meghalaya State Olympic Association. Pariat provided an overview of the disciplines and events lined up for the 3rd NEOG, slated to occur from March 18 to March 23, 2024, in Nagaland.According to a notification from the Nagaland Olympic Association, the event will encompass 16 sports. MSOA expressed its intention to participate in nearly all the sporting disciplines, pending support and funding from the Department of Sports and Youth Affairs.
Representatives from various State Sports Associations attended the meeting, having been selected by MSOA to represent Meghalaya in the 3rd North East Games 2024.
They were urged to initiate preparations in anticipation of backing from the Department of Sports and Youth Affairs.
MSOA officials announced plans to convene with Department of Sports and Youth Affairs officials following the conclusion of the current budget session. Discussions will center on obtaining approval for team preparations and securing adequate funding to bolster the Meghalaya Contingent for the 3rd NEOG, scheduled from March 18 to March 23, 2024, in Nagaland
MSOA’s proactive approach and strategic planning reflect their commitment to excel in the upcoming 3rd North East Olympic Games 2024 in Nagaland.
