Ram Mandir postage stamps presented to Governor

Shillong, March 2: Chief Postmaster General, Northeast Circle, Mariamma Thomas on Saturday presented a souvenir containing a set of six commemorative postage stamps dedicated to the Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Temple to the Governor of Meghalaya Phagu Chauhan.
The stamps were released on January 18, by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Printed by blending water and soil from Ram Janmbhoomi, the stamps carry the consciousness and blessings of Shri Ram.
Additionally, they bear the fragrance of sandalwood, signifying the essence of divinity.
Parts of the souvenir sheet are gold foiled to represent divine light.
On the occasion, a 48-page book Ramayana – Saga of Shri Ram: A Journey through Stamps, featuring stamps issued by 20 countries showcasing the global resonance and universal appeal of Shri Ram, was also presented to the governor.
