National Road Safety Week concludes in EJH

Khliehriat, March 2: The National Road Safety Week in East Jaintia Hills culminated at programme in the premises of the office of the District Transport Officer, Khliehriat on Saturday. Addressing the gathering, Motor Vehicles Inspector, H Dkhar impressed upon drivers and students the importance of road safety urging them to carry the message and spread awareness on the issue. Furthermore, he elucidated the connection of the theme of the National Road Safety Week, “Be a Road Safety Hero” with the Good Samaritan Law and urged them to assist road accident victims by informing the police and by calling 108.
