Bethany Society kids to benefit from new project

SHILLONG, March 12: Students at Bethany Society are likely to benefit from the ‘Solar Water Heating/Water Heat Pump’ project, which was inaugurated by Khasi Hills Autonomous District Council (KHADC) CEM Pyniaid Sing Syiem in the presence of SIDBI General Manager Bhanu Pratap Verma here on Monday.
According to a statement here, the initiative, funded through Swavalamban Foundation of Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI), stands as a boon for the students at Bethany Society, a majority of whom are children with disabilities.
“This project exemplifies the spirit of giving back to the community by eliminating barriers for children with disabilities, offering them improved opportunities for productivity and empathy in their roles as future citizens of the nation, as highlighted by the SIDBI GM,” it said.
Meanwhile, has assured future assistance from the KHADC to the Bethany Society in advancing the latter’s noble mission.
