The Nongjrong viewpoint will be closed on March 24 due to the KJP Provisional Synod Pdeng congregation, in efforts to prevent traffic congestion. Furthermore, the Dorbar Shnong Nongjrong announced that the viewpoint will remain closed every Sunday thereafter.
Holi
The members of Rilbong Sports & Cultural Club and Geetanjali Dance Academy will organise ‘Basanta Utsav’ (Holi Festival) at Rilbong ground at 10 am on Sunday. On the occasion tributes will be paid to the Tagore statues at Brookside and Jitbhumi complex at 9 am in Rilbong.
Condolence
Members of CRU Shillong District have condoled the demise of the first medical representative of Shillong, Amalendu Dasgupta, who passed away on Wednesday in Guwahati. According to a statement here, a condolence meeting was organised on Thursday at CRU Rest House during which the members of CRU Shillong observed a two-minute silence.
