Two die in city road mishap

SHILLONG, April 10: Two persons were killed in an accident after a truck bearing registration number AP16 TS 9689 overturned at Mawblei on National Highway 6 on Wednesday morning.
The truck which was transporting fish from Andhra Pradesh and coming to Shillong from Jowai overturned near the Hyundai showroom due to brake failure, police said.
The two handymen of the truck when they were trying to jump out of truck before it overturned. The driver escaped with minor injuries.
The bodies of the two deceased were shifted to Shillong civil hospital for post-mortem examination.
