SHILLONG, April 10: Unidentified miscreants pelted stones at KHADC member Macdalyne Mawlong’s house at Mawlein Mawkhan (Sohkyndur) in Umsning, Ri-Bhoi, on Wednesday evening. The window panes were shattered but no one suffered any injury.
Mawlong said her house was attacked while she inside attending an election meeting.
“I was lucky to escape since I could have suffered serious head injuries if any of the stones had hit me,” the NPP MDC said, while adding that she filed an FIR with the police.
According to the FIR, the miscreant came in a grey coloured Alto K-10 and pelted stones on reaching Mawlong’s residence.
Umiam Police rushed to Mawlong’s residence to investigate the attack and recovered two stones from inside the house.
