Tura, April 27: In a riveting showdown at the GBHSS Chandmary Football Ground in Tura, Dadenggre YC clinched their maiden victory in the Tura Football League Super Division, triumphing over Druma Sandruma with a commanding 4-1 win on Friday.
Druma Sandruma surged ahead early in the game, securing the lead with a goal from Henry Marak in the 3rd minute of the first half, igniting a wave of excitement among the spectators.However, the tables quickly turned as Dadenggre YC regrouped and unleashed a relentless offensive onslaught, orchestrating effective counterattacks. Batsrang Sangma leveled the scoreline with a goal in the 13th minute, followed by Salchang Sangma’s precise strike in the 22nd minute, propelling Dadenggre YC to a 2-1 lead at halftime.
Maintaining their aggressive approach in the second half, Dadenggre YC continued to dominate proceedings. Jarak Sangma extended their lead with a goal in the 61st minute, leaving Druma Sandruma struggling to mount a comeback.
Despite Druma Sandruma’s persistent efforts, they were unable to breach Dadenggre YC’s defense again. Roblin Marak put the finishing touches on an impressive display with a stunning goal in the dying moments of the second half.
As the referee signaled the end of the match at the 90th minute mark, Dadenggre YC emerged victorious with a resounding 4-1 triumph, marking a memorable milestone in their campaign in the Tura Football League Super Division.
