Chokpot groups seize illegal boulder trucks

TURA, May 1: Combined organisations from Chokpot in South Garo Hills on Monday seized three trucks transporting boulders from an alleged illegal stone quarry at Budugre.
The trucks were intercepted at around 2:30 pm on the road from Chokpot to Baghmara. Upon enquiry, the occupants of the three vehicles were unable to produce any valid documents, following which they were immediately seized.
The seized trucks (AS 01NC 7338), (AS 01KC 9096) and (AS 16AC 3556), along with the load, were then handed over to the Chokpot police station.
