EKH chess body to host selection trials

Shillong, May 22: The East Khasi Hills District Chess Association (EKHDCA) is set to host its District Selection on May 31 and June 1, 2024.
The event will take place at Umsohsun Community Hall, near Old Dreamland Cinema Hall in Shillong, starting promptly at 9:00 a.m.
The top 12 players from this selection will earn the opportunity to represent the district at the 47th Meghalaya State ‘A’ FIDE Rating Chess Championship 2024, scheduled to be held in Tura, Garo Hills, from June 12 to 15.The entry fee for the selection event is ₹200 for students and ₹300 for others. Prizes include a cash prize and trophy for the 1st place winner, cash prizes and medals for 2nd to 4th place, and medals for those placing 5 to 12.For more information, participants can contact Shri R.
