VPP’s MP-elect Syngkon to visit Delhi next week

SHILLONG, June 7: Newly-elected Voice of the People Party MP, Ricky AJ Syngkon will visit the national capital on Tuesday to complete the formalities prior to taking oath as one of the new members of the 18th Lok Sabha.
He said the date of taking oath has not been fixed yet.
Asked if the party has decided to extend support to the INDIA bloc, the VPP MP said the party is yet to discuss the issue.
“We will make a formal announcement once we reach a decision,” Syngkon added.
Earlier, VPP president Ardent Miller Basaiawmoit had stated that the party would extend support to the INDIA bloc on issues concerning the interests of the country and its citizens.
