Govt submits inspection report of airports to HC

SHILLONG, June 21: The state government on Friday submitted a preliminary report with regard to the inspection of the Shillong Airport at Umroi, Kushok Bakula Rimpochee Airport at Leh, and Veer Savarkar International Airport at Port Blair before the High Court of Meghalaya.
Advocate General Amit Kumar submitted that a communication has already been sent to the Bhutan government for inspection of the Paro International Airport and the response is awaited. He added that there is a possibility of having the inspection during the second week of July.
The AG further submitted that on receiving necessary instructions, he will inform the Registrar General of the Court as to the details of inspection.
N Mozika, appearing for AAI, submitted that the LiDAR survey report is awaited and sought a months’ time to submit a detailed report.
