Miscreants torch road excavator in WKH

SHILLONG, June 27: Unidentified miscreants torched an excavator owned by a road construction company in West Khasi Hills, while also damaging a number of other vehicles in a case of arson.
West Khasi Hills Superintendent of Police, Bikram Marak said that on Wednesday night, an excavator parked on the roadside at Mawthungkper was torched by unknown miscreants. The miscreants also attempted to torch three other vehicles parked in the company’s guest house at Ladweitang.
The vehicles belong to Joint Stock Company which is constructing the Nongstoin-Wahkaji road.
Police have registered a case in this regard and deputed a team led by an Additional SP to nab the perpetrators.
