Guv donates ambulance to NGO in city

SHILLONG, July 2: In a move to bolster healthcare in the region, Governor Phagu Chauhan on Tuesday donated and flagged off an ambulance to Seva Bharati Meghalaya during a formal handover ceremony at Raj Bhavan here. This donation marks a pivotal moment for the organisation, which expressed profound gratitude for this invaluable contribution.
The handover ceremony was attended by the Principal Secretary to the Governor, Harish Chandra Chaudhary, along with officers and staff of Raj Bhavan and members of Seva Bharati Meghalaya.
Seva Bharati Meghalaya is a social service organisation registered under the Meghalaya Societies Registration Act in 1995. Over the past 18 years, it has expanded its services to all districts of Meghalaya, focusing on healthcare, education, vocational training, as well as cultural and national integration programmes.
