Pak condemns attack on its consulate in Germany
Islamabad, July 21: Pakistan on Sunday condemned the attack on its consulate in the German city of Frankfurt along with the failure of German authorities to protect the diplomatic facility. In the incident which occurred on Saturday, “the security of Pakistan’s consulate in Frankfurt was breached, endangering the lives of its consular staff”, the Foreign Office said without identifying the nationality of the attackers. “Pakistan strongly condemns yesterday’s attack by a gang of extremists on its consulate in Frankfurt, Germany and the failure of the German authorities to protect the sanctity and security of the premises of its consular Mission,” it said. India, Nepal teams search for people after landslides
Kathmandu, July 21: Twelve rescue personnel from India on Sunday joined the Nepali security forces in their search for several missing passengers on two buses that were washed away by a landslide into a swollen river in Nepal last week. The Indian rescue team from the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) reached Bagmati province’s Chitwan on Saturday at the request of Nepal. Seven Indian nationals were in one of the buses. The bodies of three of them have been recovered so far. (PTI)
