Accident, bike-lifting bid
Hemanta Kr Hajong lodged a complaint that on July 26, while he along with his friend and an unidentified person were travelling in his motorcycle (ML-08G-5608), it met with an accident at Betasing, Nirgini, South West Garo Hills. Later, the unidentified person attempted to take away his motorcycle and mobile phone and fled away from the place

B’deshi nationals detected
Police received information that on July 26, residents of Piljigre village, West Garo Hills, spotted 6 to 7 suspected Bangladeshi nationals who illegally entered into the Indian territory at the village. However, the villagers managed to apprehend one of the suspected Bangladeshi nationals viz., Tofijul Ali, and assaulted him, while others managed to escape. Later, police seized five mobile chargers, a Bluetooth headphone, an Aadhaar card of one Tofajol Sk.

Break-in
Alolika Chakrabarty lodged a complaint that on July 26, miscreant(s) broke into her residence at Nongrim Hills, Shillong, and stole gold ornaments valued around Rs 3 lakh and Rs 15,000 in cash.

Unauthorised bank transactions
A resident of a locality in Shillong lodged a complaint that on July 12, between 7.50 pm and 8.20 pm, two unauthorised transaction of Rs 7,734.46 and Rs 6,458.01 took place from his bank account respectively, without his knowledge.

Theft
Niroj Mohanty of Hotel Polo Tower, Shillong, lodged a complaint that on July 25, miscreant(s) stole copper pipes connected to the newly installed air conditioner.
Pinak Kanti Das lodged a complaint that on July 26, miscreant(s) stole underground cables valued around Rs 49,000 from inside the BSNL Exchange at IGP Point, Shillong.
