SHILLONG, July 31: In another crackdown, personnel of the 100 Bn BSF Meghalaya and Meghalaya Police on Wednesday rescued 69 cattle from an area near the bordering village of Dalu, West Garo Hills, which were reportedly meant to be smuggled to Bangladesh.
According to a statement, the cattle were “brutally loaded in four Bolero pick-up vehicles”. Six Indian nationals have been apprehended in this connection, who, along with the seized items, were later handed over to the police station at Dalu for further legal action.
