Hindi workshop for govt officials

SHILLONG, Aug 27: A one-day Hindi workshop aimed at promoting the use of Hindi in official work was held at the office of the Principal Accountant General (Audit), Meghalaya here on Tuesday. A total of 14 officers and employees attended the workshop.
Secretary to the Principal Accountant General, PR Ryngkhlem, welcomed the participants. The workshop featured Senior Hindi Officer from the Directorate General Assam Rifles and a member of the Town Official Language Implementation Committee, Laitkor, Shillong, Asit Kamal, as the faculty member.
Kamal conducted two sessions — ‘Noting and Draft Writing’ and ‘Hindi Correspondence’ — during the workshop. Participants were given practical exercises to reinforce their learning.
