State school chess championship 2024 to be held in Shillong

Shillong, Sep 1: The Meghalaya Chess Association (M.C.A.), with the support of SAMAGRA SHIKSHA ABHIYAAN (SSA) under the Government of Meghalaya, is set to organize the “Meghalaya State School Chess Championship 2024” for young chess enthusiasts in the Under-10, Under-12, and Under-16 categories for both boys and girls. The championship will take place at St. Anthony’s Higher Secondary School, Laitumkhrah, Shillong, on the 20th and 21st of September 2024.
This eagerly anticipated event aims to foster and develop chess talent among school students across the state, providing a platform for them to showcase their strategic skills and compete at a high level. Participants are encouraged to register early, as the deadline for entries with accommodation facilities is set for September 13, 2024. Those who wish to make their own arrangements have until September 18, 2024, to submit their entries.
