Top BSF-BGB meet discusses border synergy

SHILLONG, Sep 5: A Sector Commander-level coordination meeting between the Border Security Force (BSF) and the Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) was held near the Barsora Land Customs Station in Bangladesh on Friday.
The meeting focused on various border-related issues, including the implementation of the Coordinated Border Management Plan and other matters of mutual interest. The commanders from both nations engaged in productive discussions, with both sides expressing satisfaction over the cordial and meaningful exchange.
Both commanders reiterated their commitment to fostering a secure and peaceful border environment.
They praised the efforts of their respective forces in maintaining tranquility in the region and agreed that regular coordination meetings are essential to ensuring the smooth functioning of border management operations.
The BSF delegation was led by DIG, Sector HQ BSF Shillong, Manoj Kumar Barnwal, while Deputy Director General and Sector Commander of BGB Sylhet, Md. Saiful Islam Chowdhury, led the Bangladesh delegation.
