Mawkyrwat, Sep 6: Two persons were seriously injured after a vehicle fell off the cliff at Mawphuli village, near Nongnah on the Ranikor-Mawkyrwat road, in South West Khasi Hills on Friday morning.
According to police sources, the vehicle lost control and toppled off the road into a deep gorge injuring two occupants.
The vehicle was new and without a registration number.
The injured persons were identified as Casborlin Khardewsaw (38) who was the driver and Teibor Kharbani (24), both residents of Rambrai-Nongkdait village, West Khasi Hills.
It was also informed that both the injured persons were taken to Ranikor CHC for treatment and later were shifted to Shillong Civil Hospital as their condition was said to be serious.
