Workshop
The Meghalaya Administrative Training Institute (MATI) in collaboration with the Capacity Building Commission (CBC), Government of India, will conduct a one-day orientation programme-cum-workshop on ‘Mission Karmayogi and iGOT’ for state government officials at the State Convention Centre, Shillong, from 9 am on September 11.

Birth anniv
The Shillong Assamese Ladies Welfare Club celebrated the 98th birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna Dr Bhupen Hazarika at Assam Club here on Sunday. The chief guest of the programme was the Editor of Assamese daily newspaper Amar Asom, Monoj Goswsomi, who delivered a speech on Bhupen Hazarika’s contribution in the field of music, culture, and literature. Binu Hazarika, president of the welfare club presented a souvenir of the club ‘Aayotee’ to Goswsomi.

Office-bearers
The Garo Students Union (GSU) constituted the Mallangkona Regional Unit which will operate under the GSU, Khasi Hills Zone, expanding and strengthening the organisation’s presence in the region. The office-bearers of Mallangkona Regional Unit include Abraham Lincoln N Sangma (president), Niksan N Sangma (vice president), Sengjrang A Marak (general secretary), Austin K Sangma (finance secretary), and Chedam R Marak (joint secretary).
