The office of the District Mental Health Programme, East Khasi Hills, will observe the ‘World Suicide Prevention Day’ on the theme of ‘Changing the Narrative on Suicide’ at KJP Assembly Conference Hall, Barik, at 12 noon.
The Department of Political Science, North-Eastern Hill University (NEHU), Shillong, will commence its Golden Jubilee celebrations, beginning with an inaugural session today. The occasion will be marked by two significant lecture series — “The Life and Contributions of B Pakem,” scheduled for September 17, 2024, and “NEHU’s Contributions to the Development of Social Sciences in North-East India” in October.
