NONGPOH, Sep 10: In a burglary that took place on Monday night, two shops located in the heart of Nongpoh town were broken into by miscreants, who managed to steal cash and vandalise property within the premises.
One of the targeted shops is known as ‘Moon Light Studio’, while the other is a grocery and general store owned by one Tuta Miah.
According to the shop owners, the burglars struck around midnight, forcibly breaking the shutters of both shops. They made off with cash from the grocery store, while the equipment and other items in Moon Light Studio were vandalised and thrown on the floor.
Following the incident, the shop owners filed a complaint on Tuesday at the Nongpoh Police Station. Police have launched an investigation to identify and apprehend the culprits involved in this crime.
