Shillong, Sep 19: Ri-Bhoi District Sports Association hosted Shillong Sports Association in the reverse U-14 and U-16 fixtures of the Meghalaya Youth League 2024 at Umdihar Mini Stadium on Wednesday.
These matches were originally scheduled for last month but had to be postponed.
The U-14 game saw Manjusna Kyrsian (21’) give the visitors the lead before Meland Mawiong (70’) equalised at the end for RBDSA.
Later, SSA were leading 2-1 by half time but heavy rain made the field unplayable and the game had to be abandoned with both teams awarded a point each.
The results do not change the standings in Zone C, with Ri-Bhoi still leading both age groups with SSA in second.
The abandoned match and shared points leave the standings in Zone C of the Meghalaya Youth League unchanged, with Ri-Bhoi District Sports Association maintaining their lead in both age groups, followed closely by Shillong Sports Association.
