SHILLONG, Sep 19: Bringing laurels to her hometown Shillong, 34-year-old Genevieve Pala recently won the title of 2nd Runner-Up at Mrs. Supranational India 2024.
Genevieve, who is born and raised in Shillong, is now preparing to represent India at the Mrs. Universe pageant in South Korea.
Reflecting on her journey, Genevieve expressed her overwhelming joy and pride in being able to represent India on the global stage.
“Winning Mrs. Supranational India second runner-up is one of my biggest achievements. Coming from a small state like Meghalaya, competing globally is something I’ve always dreamt of,” she said, crediting her success to both divine blessings, and her relentless hard work and dedication.
Genevieve said the Mrs. Supranational India 2024 event, which was held in Mumbai, provided her with unforgettable experiences.
“The people I met, the accommodation provided by the organisers, and the entire team of Kara Foundation were incredible. Zoya Sheikh, the founder of Kara Foundation, was a humble and encouraging figure throughout the event,” Genevieve said.
She also expressed gratitude to her mentors for their generosity and expert grooming, which, she continued, helped her and her fellow contestants shine.
Recalling the camaraderie with other contestants, Genevieve said, “We shared and cherished every moment together. I never imagined I would bond so closely with them in just four days.”
The 34-year-old also expressed gratitude to her family, friends and the Fashion Society of Shillong for their support throughout her journey.
