Plaint over RTI response ‘delay’

JOWAI, Sep 25: The Hynniewtrep National Youth Front (HNYF), West Jaintia Hills, has lodged a complaint with the Chief Information Commissioner (CIC), alleging delay by the Public Information Officer (PIO) of the Office of the District Medical and Health Officer (DM&HO), West Jaintia Hills District, in responding to an RTI application.
The RTI, submitted by an HNYF member on August 9, 2024, has yet to reportedly receive any response from the DM&HO Office.
In its complaint, the HNYF urged the CIC to take appropriate action against the PIO under the RTI Act 2005 and demanded an immediate response to the pending RTI application.
