SHILLONG, Sep 28: The much-anticipated Integrated Command and Control Centre (ICCC) project, undertaken as part of the Smart City initiative, is set to miss yet another deadline.
Initially, expected to be completed by September 30, 2024, the project’s physical progress stands at 85% as of the end of August 2024, while the financial progress is reported at 63.14%.
The project, being implemented by M/s Nice Infotech, was awarded in December 2021.
Once completed, the ICCC will oversee a network of nearly 300 cameras installed across the city, enhanced with facial recognition software to improve monitoring and surveillance.
