City schools partake in quiz competition

SHILLONG, Oct 3: A total of 58 students from 12 Shillong-based schools took part in a quiz competition, ‘Brain Blast’, hosted by Meghalaya Together, a socio-cultural organisation, as part of Gandhi Jayanti celebration.
Organised at Gorkha Pathsala Higher Secondary School, the event was attended by political activist Avner Pariat as the guest speaker.
After an intense competition, Aditya Thapa and Sharat Chettri from Gorkha Pathsala Higher Secondary School emerged as the winners, while their schoolmates, Sumit Das and Wangaal Lama, secured the second place.
Meanwhile, the third prize was secured by Liora Dajanai Ryntathiang and Carinthea M. Chyrmang from BK Bajoria School.
The winners were awarded a memento, certificate and cash prize.
