Shillong, Oct 6: The Adventurous Hynniewtrep Offroaders (AHOR) all set to host 6th edition of the AHOR 4×4 Offroad Challenge, which will take place from October 10 to 12, 2024, at the scenic Kharsati Nature Park in Umtham, Ri Bhoi District, Meghalaya. Ferdinand Jahrin, the General Secretary of AHOR, has confirmed that all preparations are now complete, and the tracks are ready for what promises to be an exhilarating competition.
This year’s event will feature three distinct categories of competition: Pro Modified, Modified, and Stock. Each category is designed to cater to different levels of vehicle modifications, allowing offroad enthusiasts of varying skills and expertise to participate. Across the three days, a total of six challenging tracks will test the competitors, offering both seasoned drivers and newcomers an opportunity to showcase their talent and determination.
The event will kick off on October 10 with participant registration scheduled from 12 to 2:30 p.m. Competitors and teams are expected to arrive early to complete the registration process and prepare for the night stage, which will begin at 5 p.m. This opening night stage is expected to be one of the most exciting parts of the competition, as drivers navigate through challenging routes in low visibility, adding an extra layer of difficulty and excitement.
On the second day, October 11, the competition will continue with three stages, starting early at 8 a.m. These stages will feature a mix of natural and man-made obstacles that will require not only driving skills but also strategic thinking and teamwork.
The final day, October 12, will feature two more stages beginning in the morning and culminating with the much-anticipated prize distribution ceremony at 4 p.m. This grand conclusion will honour the winners of each category.
The 6th AHOR 4×4 Offroad Challenge is set to be one of the largest offroading events in Meghalaya. Competitors from across the state, as well as from Assam, Kerala, and other regions, are expected to join, making it a diverse gathering of offroad enthusiasts from various parts of the country.
