Bobby Nongbet selected for AIFF coaching course

Shillong, Oct 8: The All India Football Federation (AIFF) has selected Shillong Lajong FC head of football development, Bobby Lyngdoh Nongbet to attend an ‘Elite Coaches Football Course’ in Mumbai.
Nongbet who holds an AFC A Licence and an international coaching diploma from Hungary will part in the coaching programme conducted by the AIFF from October 10 to 15.
The coaching programme will be attended by football coaches from various parts of the country.
Nongbet who is rated as one of the most successful coach of the State was the head coach of Shillong Lajong and had won numerous national titles including the U-17 boys’ Subroto Cup in 2019.
His other notable achievement was to help Shillong Lajong to get back into the I-League.
Shillong Lajong FC from nowhere back into the I-League. He is also the Ri-Bhoi District Sports Officer.
It may be mention that Nongbet was named “AIFF bad AIFC Best Youth Coach Award’ in 2018.
Nongbet’s selection for the Elite Coaches Football Course highlights his continued dedication to developing football in Meghalaya and across India.
His experience and achievements, both on the national stage and with Shillong Lajong FC, have solidified his reputation as a key figure in the sport.
This opportunity will further enhance his expertise, allowing him to contribute even more to the growth of young football talent in the region.
