KHADC CEM unveils book on traditional values

Shillong, Oct 14: The Khasi Hills Autonomous District Council (KHADC) Chief Executive Member (CEM), Pyniaid Sing Syiem on Monday released a Khasi book titled “Ka sain pyrkhat u Khasi bad ki dak thoh ha ka ktien Khasi” written by Phrikshon Kharshiing, who is a member of the Khasi Author Society (KAS).

Kharshiing had started to write the book way back in 1986.

Among the dignitaries who were present during the book release function which was held at the conference hall of the KHADC, included Deputy CEM, Pynshngain N Syiem, Chairman, Lamphrang Blah, senior MDC, Bindo M Lanong along with members of the KAS.

KAS member, Ailynti Nongbri in her inaugural address stated that the book aims to revive the traditional values and teachings which were passed on by the forefathers.
