Coveted award for Tura-based educationist

SHILLONG, Oct 14: Prominent Tura-based educator, Tyrone Patrick D’Brass, has been awarded the esteemed All-India Anglo-Indian Association’s Stracey ‘Reach for the Stars’ Award in recognition of his remarkable contributions to education over the past four decades.
Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma congratulated Tyrone on this achievement in a post on the CMO Meghalaya Facebook page. “As the visionary founder of Sherwood School, Tura’s premier educational institution, Tyrone continues to foster academic excellence. We warmly congratulate Mr. D’Brass on this prestigious award and wish him ongoing success.”
It may be mentioned that Tyrone, along with Bruce Beddoe, established Sherwood School in Tura in February 1986.
