St. Edmund’s students enthrall gathering with performance of popular musical

SHILLONG, Oct 19: Students of St. Edmund’s School on Saturday evening captivated the audience with their talent by delivering a vibrant and energetic performance of the popular musical, Mamma Mia!.
A total of 76 students from classes IX, X and XI participated as actors, musicians and choir members, bringing the Swedish band ABBA’s iconic songs to life.
The packed hall erupted in applause as the students excelled in their roles, with standout performances from the lead character Donna, along with Sam and Sophie.
Directed and rehearsed within just three weeks, the musical stood out, exceptionally as Brother Solomon Morris, addressing the crowd at the end of the show, expressed his pride and appreciation for the students.
“This fantastic production came together in a very short time, and I’m proud of everyone involved,” he said.
The musical featured ABBA hits such as Super Trouper, Dancing Queen, Knowing Me, Knowing You, and The Winner Takes It All, creating an unforgettable evening with lively music, dynamic lighting and heartfelt performances.
