SHILLONG, Oct 24: Acclaimed author Janice Pariat has been awarded the prestigious Best Book in Fiction at the inaugural Pen and Paper Book Awards for her novel Everything The Light Touches. Published by HarperCollins India, the book has captivated readers and judges alike with its compelling narrative and unique storytelling, further solidifying Pariat’s place in contemporary Indian literature.
The Pen and Paper Book Awards, which aim to celebrate literary excellence across genres, honoured Pariat’s work for its ability to transport readers and inspire thought. In its debut year, the awards have set out to recognize outstanding achievements in literature, showcasing diverse voices and narratives that enrich the cultural fabric of storytelling.
Pariat’s book won alongside prominent names like Gulzar and Vikram Sampath, among several others.
