East Jaintia Hills honours state-level medalists

Khliehriat, Oct 30: A ceremony to honour state-level medalists in athletics and football was organized by the East Jaintia Hills District Sports Office in collaboration with the District Administration.
Held at the Deputy Commissioner’s office, the event recognized young athletes for their exceptional performances in various state-level competitions.
During the felicitation, cash awards were presented to winners from the State Level Inter School Athletics Meet 2023-24, the Under-14 Boys State Level Subroto Mukherjee Cup Football Tournament, and the Under-17 Boys and Under-12 Girls categories of the Chief Minister’s Youth Development Scheme (CMYDS) Football Tournament, 2023. The district’s athletics coaches were also honoured for their contributions to the athletes’ success.
Deputy Commissioner Shivansh Awasthi, who served as the chief guest, praised the initiative, commending the athletes’ hard work and congratulating them on their achievements.
