Ampati Volleyball Tournament 2024

Ampati, Nov 16: The South West Garo Hills Volleyball Association, in collaboration with the District Sports Office, successfully hosted the Volleyball Tournament 2024 at Students’ Field, Ampati, on Friday.
The event aimed to scout top volleyball talent from the region for the upcoming Meghalaya Games 2025.
The tournament witnessed enthusiastic participation, with 15 men’s teams and 8 women’s teams from across South West Garo Hills competing fiercely for the championship titles.
In the women’s category, Mustang Ladies emerged victorious, defeating the Sangma Marak Mix Team in a thrilling final.
Tachi M Marak was named the Best Player in the women’s division for her exceptional skills and standout performance.
On the men’s side, the Lions Volleyball Club secured the championship after an intense showdown with the Andra team.
Alan Ch Marak’s outstanding contributions on the court earned him the Best Player award in the men’s category.
The tournament not only celebrated the local talent but also reflected the growing passion for volleyball in the region.
The event organizers expressed hope that the players would carry forward their momentum and excel in the Meghalaya Games next year.
The Volleyball Tournament 2024 at Ampati was a celebration of talent, teamwork, and community spirit. With Mustang Ladies and Lions Volleyball Club emerging as champions, the event highlighted the depth of skill and enthusiasm for volleyball in South West Garo Hills.
