Murder
Police received information on November 14 morning that miscreant(s) murdered one Rimiki Rabon (37) at Saphai village in West Jaintia Hills.

Machete attack
A woman lodged a complaint that on November 12, around 8.30 pm, two unidentified persons attacked her kin viz., D Syngkon (23) and L Syngkon (36) with a machete, in the house of her sister at Rymbai Road in East Jaintia Hills. Further, the miscreants also attacked her sister for confronting them. As a result, the victims sustained injuries and were shifted to Civil Hospital Khliehriat.

Assault
Headman of Mawkhyrwang village in South West Khasi Hills (SWKH) lodged a complaint that on November 8 circa 7.30 pm, three residents of Mawrap village assaulted two residents of Mawkhyrwang village at Iew Wahlapung in SWKH. As a result, the victims sustained injuries and were shifted to a health sub-centre in Mawkhyrwang.

Vandalism
Joint Secretary, Meghalaya Information Technology Society, Secretariat Hills, Shillong, lodged a complaint that on November 13, miscreant(s) vandalised the DG sets installed opposite the office of the Meghalaya Printing and Stationery, Shillong, and stole copper wires valued around Rs 10,000.

Break-in
Titibon Nongrum lodged a complaint that on November 12 evening, miscreant(s) broke into her residence at Mawblei Block-B and stole around Rs 40,000 in cash, gold ornaments valued Rs 4 lakh, a mobile phone, valuable documents, etc.

Duped
A Shillong resident lodged a complaint that on November 11, Shankar Choudhury, Sanjay Badaik and Lingaraj Narg cheated him of Rs 68,700 with a promise to provide labour works for him and his associates in Bangalore, Karnataka.
