SHILLONG, Nov 21: The Central Recruitment Board (CRB) of the Meghalaya Police on Thursday suspended the ongoing Physical Efficiency Test (PET) over certain “deficiencies”.
In a press statement, IGP-cum-chairman of the CRB, Dalton P Marak said new dates for the PET will be announced at a later date and equal opportunity will be given to all candidates.
“It has been brought to the notice of the Central Recruitment Board that there were deficiencies in the Physical Efficiency Test conducted at 1st MLP Battalion, Mawiong and 4th MLP Battalion, Sohpian in the last four days (from Nov 18 to 21),” Marak said.
He said the matter was thoroughly scrutinised by the CRB which is committed to ensuring an error-free PET.
The CRB chairman advised candidates to bear with the board to ensure a fair, smooth and efficient PET.
The CRB also cautioned candidates against making payments through UPI, Google Pay and other modes of payment to anyone in order to pass the PET.
“All candidates are advised not to fall prey to such scamsters. For any query you can contact the Office of the Central recruitment Board (CRB) at Mawroh or call us on helpline no. 6033164273,” the board said in an advisory.
