Scientists inspect MGNREGA projects in Mylliem Block

SHILLONG, Nov 27: Project Scientists, Aneesah Rahman and Bonthu Solomon Raju from the National Remote Sensing Center (NRSC), part of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), Hyderabad, conducted a field inspection of the geo-tagged works completed under the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA) in the 5th Mile VEC of Mylliem Block, East Khasi Hills District.
The inspection was conducted from November 18 to 20.
During their visit, the scientists interacted with job card holders, reviewed the quality of the implemented projects, and assessed their impact on the local community. They were accompanied by officials from State Rural Employment Society (SRES) at the State, District, and Block levels.
It may be mentioned that the findings and observations from the inspection will be compiled into a report and submitted to the Ministry of Rural Development.
