Meghalaya Pavilion earns accolade at India Int’l Trade Fair

SHILLONG, Nov 28: The Meghalaya Pavilion won a Silver Medal for excellence in display among the States and Union Territories at the 43rd India International Trade Fair (IITF) 2024.
The event, organised by the India Trade Promotion Organization (ITPO) from November 14 to 27, was held under the theme “Viksit Bharat @2047”, reflecting India’s vision of becoming a developed nation by 2047. The theme highlighted the country’s progress, innovation, and cultural heritage.
Meghalaya was represented at IITF 2024 by the Tourism department, Commerce and Industries department, Meghalayan Age Limited (based in New Delhi), and the Directorate of Information and Public Relations, which acted as the nodal department. Additionally, eight units sponsored by the Directorate of Commerce and Industries showcased indigenous products from various parts of the state, promoting Meghalaya’s rich cultural and entrepreneurial heritage.
The Trade Fair featured participation from States, Union Territories, Ministries, and private enterprises from across India, making it a vibrant platform for showcasing the nation’s diversity and achievements.
