M’laya team leaves for Vijay Merchant Trophy

Shillong, Dec 3: Fifteen players have been selected to represent Meghalaya for the first two matches of the U-16 boys’ Vijay Merchant Trophy 2024-25, a multi-day domestic tournament of the BCCI.
The Meghalaya Cricket Association’s junior men selection committee has made the selection and will review the performances of the team after the opening two games.
Meghalaya’s first match will be against Andhra Pradesh from 6 to 8 December and then against Hyderabad from 11 to 13 December. Both matches will take place in Lucknow.
The boys have been involved in an intensive preparatory camp that was held both in Shillong and Nongkhrah (Ri-Bhoi) from 17 November. The team left for Uttar Pradesh today.
