Three-yr term extension for MHRC member

SHILLONG, Dec 4: The selection committee of the Meghalaya Human Rights Commission (MHRC) on Wednesday extended the term of judicial member Baffindalyne Giri by three years.
Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma informed that the selection committee headed by Chief Secretary DP Wahlang recommended extension of three years for 67-year-old Baffindalyne Giri since she can serve up to the age of 70 as the judicial member of the MHRC.
