Office-bearers
The Sein Jaintia, Qualapatty, elected its new office-bearers during a general meeting held recently. Among the new elected new-office bearers include Wanjop Pyrbot (president), Maya Rani Kyndiah (vice president), Armanki Pariat (general secretary), Wansalan Passah (joint secretary), larles Pde (treasurer), et al. On the occasion, the Sein Jaintia also elected 15 executive members.
Cleaning drive
The Dorbar Shnong Lawmali Pyllun will organise a cleaning drive from 8 am onwards on Thursday. In a statement, assistant secretary of Dorbar Shnong, P Nongneng, requested all the residents of the locality to come out in huge numbers and participate in the annual cleaning drive. He also appealed that all vehicles, plying through the locality during the cleaning drive hours, to exercise caution while driving. Nongneng also requested all shopkeepers to down their shutters till the culmination of the cleaning drive.
