The government also plans to introduce science streams in five colleges and commerce streams in three colleges, creating 248 new posts to support these initiatives. “We will be releasing advertisements very soon. In the next 5-6 months, we will call for applications to fill more than 1,000 teaching positions in higher and technical education, higher secondary, and primary schools,” Education Minister Rakkam Sangma announced.
Additionally, Sangma revealed that the Education department will present a comprehensive blueprint on January 9-10, outlining plans to resolve long-standing issues faced by teachers. “The government is working towards a long-term solution to address these challenges once and for all,” he added.
