Rally
The Director of Sainik Welfare, Meghalaya, has informed that the Ex-Servicemen Rally 2024 will be held from 8:30 am onwards on Tuesday at 58 Gorkha Training Centre (GTC), Happy Valley, Shillong. “The rally will provide an interactive platform and mitigate issues related to the welfare of ex-servicemen, widows and their dependents,” a statement in this regard said.

Office-bearers
The Meghalaya Veterinary Services Association (MVSA) on Friday elected its new office-bearers for the term 2025-2026 during its 26th general body meeting. The new office-bearers include Dr G Hynniewta (president), Dr S Khongsti (general secretary), Dr P Blahwar, E Passah and Dr Marak (vice presidents of headquarters Khasi Hills and Garo Hills), Dr D Kharumnuid (treasurer), Dr B Wanswett (publicity secretary), among others.
