SHILLONG, Dec 19: The state government has ordered the preparation of electoral rolls for all constituencies under the Khasi Hills Autonomous District Council (KHADC) and Jaintia Hills Autonomous District Council (JHADC) ahead of the elections to the autonomous district councils.
According to a directive issued by the Governor, the preparation of electoral rolls will follow the calendar specified in the official schedule.
The Draft Electoral Roll will be published on January 13, 2025, with the last date for filing claims and objections set for January 22, 2025. Similarly, disposal of claims and objections will take place by January 24, 2025, and the Final Electoral Roll will be published on January 27, 2025.
