Festival
The Shillong Tamu (Gurung) Samaj will celebrate the annual festival of Loshar at Gorkha Pathshala Higher Secondary School auditorium in Shillong on December 30.
Midnight swim
In keeping with tradition, the 27th edition of the Midnight Swim will be organised on New Year’s Eve at Crinoline swimming pool in Shillong, by a group called Forever Young. A challenging eight tonne of ice blocks will be placed inside the pool for people to take a dip and welcome 2025.
Yoga c’ship
A 13-member of the Meghalaya team will participate in the 43rd National Yoga Championship to be held at Dhanbad, Jharkhand, from December 28 to 30. Three members of Meghalaya Yoga Association will also appear for the national judge examination that will be conducted by the national federation.
