Irene Dkhar to represent India at Miss Tourism World Global Finals in China

SHILLONG, Jan 4: Reigning Miss Tourism India, Irene Dkhar, is set to represent India at the prestigious Miss Tourism World 2025 Global Finals, scheduled to take place on January 10 in Guangdong, China.
Dkhar departed from New Delhi on December 27, 2024, to join contestants from over 60 countries and regions, including the United States, France, Brazil, Venezuela, and members of the Belt and Road Initiative and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.
The Miss Tourism World contest is recognised for its potential to boost the tourism and cultural industries of both the host country and the participating nations.
In a press conference held in Guangzhou on January 3, 2024, dignitaries such as Ahmed Mustafa Fahmi, Arab League Ambassador to China; SinishaBelyan, Ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina to China; and Ivan Chiulu, Ambassador of Zambia to China, expressed their support for the event, which is backed by the Chinese government.
Irene Dkhar’s journey to the global stage has been remarkable. Before winning the Miss Tourism India 2024 title in Jaipur, Rajasthan, she earned multiple accolades, including Miss Meghalaya 2022, Miss Northeast 2022, Femina Miss India Meghalaya 2023, and Miss Grand India Meghalaya 2024.
