13 climbers to represent M’aya at zonal meet

SHILLONG, Jan 8: The Meghalaya Sport Climbing & Mountaineering Association (MeSCMA) selected 13 climbers to represent the state in the IMF North East Zone Sport Climbing Competition to be held at Roing, Lower Dibang Valley, Arunachal Pradesh from January 9-11.
The climbers were chosen after a selection trial that was held on December 4-5, 2024 followed by training from January 3-6, 2025.
The climbers will be accompanied by Team Manager Hunlin Lyngdoh.
Meanwhile, three members of the MeSCMA – Kayleigh Petra Nongkynrih, Teimiki Sungoh and Ibakordor Shisha Mary Sawian – will officiate at the zonal competition as judge, route setter and belayer respectively.
